In FC6, changing the default driver from vesa to nv (nvidia) driver can cause the mouse pointer to disappear. Mouse pointer may be hidden or cannot be seen. So add the following lines to /etc/X11/xorg.conf to make it as follows :

Coprocessor is a supplementary processor that does additional tasks such as floating point arithmetics or graphics acceleration etc.
You just have to install the chipset drivers to get this installed.

I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A HP COMPAQ PRESARIO V3424TU.
NOW I FOUND OUT THAT THE AUDIO DRIVER HAD SOME PROBLEM AND STOPPED

I have a V3000 and I also downgraded from vista to XP professional. Ive found a lot of the drivers required since my lappie didnt come with a CD. but its all in hp notebook dunno its the same or not for compaq, but using windows xp is quite a problem intalling the devices....
im still workin on it manually, update it through the device manager (thats what they said how to install it on XP OS)

1. Go to HP website
2. Use the Search to search for the following driver

hi, I have a problem with my V3000. Can you please help me find a (wired)network driver for it? It runs with an AMD X2 64. The driver offered by Hp does not work. I already succesfully installed its wireless network but not the wired. I cant connect to my DSL because of it.

I was browsing around for a Driver issue with my lapsy, good that i found a blog like this. Now, this is my state. I formatted my HD and put XP SP2. I could install all the drivers with no issues, unless i found this three Base system device and one unkown device in the Other Devices tree from the Device manager. On checking the properties, i found that the Base system device had issue installing PCI bus 8 function 3 and APCI Compliant device for Unknow device. The found that the installation issue was caused Microsoft UAA. Guess there's a bug... oh yeh, my lapsy, its Compaq Presario V3197TU. Try to help dude.

i formatted my presario v3000 with intel chipset instead of AMD. do u reckon it has the same hardware like u posted? i am still searching for quite a lot of driver including the wireless. i think i installed the broadcom driver but somehow the HP wireless assistant still said that i need the driver first.

hai everybody.. i am new here.. i using hp compaq presario v3000 series too.. my model is v3700 amd turion 64 x2 tl-62.. previously i used vista home premium but i facing a problem with my hp recovery system, so i decided to make my own recovery disc using the hp recovery system but the disc error too.. so i upgrade to windows 7 but now my device manager show that my other device have 2 base system and 1 coprocessor that remain unknown.. the question is what driver is this?? i need a help from you guys that have same laptop like me, please comment my post..
